The Astral Swords are a pair of swords classified as living weapons and are one that chooses their master.
Overview[]
Only one person may ever wield their powers effectively at a given time. Currently, that person is Iska of the Heavenly Empire, who received them from their previous owner, Crosswell Nes Lubigate. The Astral Swords have two abilities: the black sword can cut through and nullify any astral power it touches; while the white sword releases the absorbed powers from the black sword, effectively allowing Iska to use the power of Astral Mages against them.
It is later revealed that it is not a sword, but a "vessel" for all the astral spirits to return to the center of the planet. It was forged by refining to its utmost limit by purifying an unique type of material known as the astral crystal, which has the property to store astral spirits. Due to it storing high concentrated astral energy, it is very effective against the "Great Astral Disaster" since astral energy is like poison to it.
