"Paradise: Iska" (楽園 ―イスカ―, Rakuen -Isuka-) is the ninth episode of the KimiSen anime series.
Summary[]
Iska arrives just in time and battles Salinger, who not only wields multiple astral spirits, but can also combine two contradicting elements together to make his astral art even stronger. Can Iska measure up to him and defeat him?
Plot[]
Iska will help Rin against Salinger under one condition. If he defeats the Transcendent Demon, Rin won't stop him and his friends from crossing the border and return home. Reluctantly, Rin agrees.
Salinger can't seem to understand why Iska would fight for the Sovereignty. Nevertheless, he will fight the former Saint Disciple.
Elsewhere, Sisbell Lou Nebulis IX looks at the night sky when Shuvalts walks toward her. The princess inquires about what is currently happening in their homeland. So the elderly butler answers, which concerns the young princess.
Meanwhile, Iska is battling against Salinger, a powerful opponent with extraordinary abilities. Salinger is somewhat impressed by Iska's fighting skills. Rin joins the fight, but the two are no match against Salinger. At the forefront, Alice orders the prison guards to search for Salinger when suddenly Nameless attacks her. The two are evenly matched. An explosion distracts the princess. When she looks up, she spots Salinger and Iska.
Salinger shows off his true abilities, combining two opposing elements. Iska tries to get rid of the blast with his sword. But he's not able to and disappears into thin air. Only Rin is left, but she believes he's still alive, and offers a distraction for Iska to deliver a blow. However, the young swordsman misses his target and now is on the chase. Salinger has one more trick up his sleeve. Luckily, Rin is there to lend a hand with her golem.
Alice appears and protects Rin from a deadly blow. Even with all his abilities, Salinger is not a match for Iska and his swords. Amused at fate for giving him an adversary, Salinger jumps into the prison's lower shafts.
In the morning, Rin informs Alice that all prisoners have been accounted for and things have settled down around the site. Plus, the Imperial soldiers have likely left their borders.
Nameless arrives back at Imperial territory. It's revealed that it was Risya in Nameless's gear who fought Alice for research purposes.
The goal of the mission was for the special forces to infiltrate the central Province. At the senate, the Eight Great Apostles discuss about the events that just happened and the next step in their plans.
Unit N07 manages to leave Nebulis territory without issue. Later that night, Alice and Rin go over the last few day's events. But unbeknownst to them, Sisbell spies on their conversations.
