People[]

Witch/Demon (魔女・魔人): A derogatory term for a person who possesses an astral spirit. Feared for their birthmark and supernatural powers, they are called as such by the people of the Empire. Alice and Rin are among them.
Star Spirit Wielder (星霊使い): Those who were called "witches" and "demons" by the Empire call themselves this way.
- Officially translated as Astral Mage.
Purebred (純血種): The given name of the descendants of the Grand Witch Nebulis. They often possess a powerful star spirit, and the Imperial Army has taken special caution to call them this. Aliceliese is one of them.
Holy Apostle (使徒聖): Guards directly under the Emperor and the highest-ranking combatants in the Imperial Army. Iska, who was the 11th seat at the time, was demoted due to the "Witch Escape Incident" that he caused. The story begins one year later, when Isuka is released from prison.
- Officially translated as Saint Disciple.
Eight Great Apostles (八大使徒): Eight supreme leaders who stand at the top of the Imperial Diet and preside over politics on behalf of the Heavenly Emperor.
Grand Witch Nebulis (大魔女ネビュリス): The ultimate Star Spirit Wielder who turned the Empire into a sea of flames a hundred years ago.

Neutral City (中立都市): A general term for cities that are not part of either the Empire or Imperial Household Agency. People from the Empire and the Imperial Household Agency may visit these cities, but in the unlikely scenario that they meet, any conflict is forbidden in the neutral cities.
Nebulis Imperial Household Agency (ネビュリス皇庁): Approximately 100 years ago, the Grand Witch Nebulis, the strongest star spirit wielder, rebelled against the Empire and founded the country. At war with the Empire for a 100 years. Aliceliese is the second princess of this country.
- Officially translated as the Nebulis Sovereignty.
Empire (帝国): A superpower that has prospered with an advanced technological civilization. The supreme authority is the Heavenly Emperor, but it is effectively controlled by eight supreme leaders called the "Eight Great Apostles". Where Isuka and the rest of the N07 Unit belongs to.
Imperial Capital Yunmelngen (帝都ユンメルンゲン): The capital of the Empire. Iska and the other Imperial soldiers live here.

Star Spirit (星霊): An unanalyzed energy that has been dormant deep beneath the planet. Humans who harbor this energy will develop strange birthmarks and supernatural powers. The cause of the birth of witches and demons.
- Officially translated as Astral Power.
Star Spirit Arts (星霊術): A magical power used by those who possess a star spirit. Its nature and abilities vary from one person to another.
Star Swords (星剣): The black and white pair of swords that Iska inherited from his master. The black star sword has the power to cut through any star spirit art, and the white star sword can "reproduce" it only once.
- Officially translated as Astral Swords.
Star Vein Eruption Foutain (Vortex) (星脈噴出泉 (ボルテックス)): About a hundred years ago, an Imperial Geological Survey Unit discovered a source of "star spirits" deep underground.
Conclave: The consecration ceremony for the queen. Representatives from the each of the royal families would compete against each another in order to be chosen as the next queen. The exact details are unknown, but it seems to be an election, as Elletear campaigned to win over the support of the masses.
