"Introduce myself? There's been a misunderstanding, sorcerer. Only humans exchange introductions. A monster like you only exists to be exterminated."
— Nameless, Volume 6 Epilogue 2
Nameless is the eighth seat of the Saint Disciples, who is known as the "Invisible Hand of God".
Appearance[]
Nameless wears a dark-gray optical camouflage suit that covers his entire body, with green light accentuating its design. Because the suit also has a voice modulator, any trace of the person inside is removed.
In the manga, Nameless' suit acts more like an adaptive camouflage suit. It is constantly blending with the background, making the assassin's body difficult to discern. The only things that can be seen are his body's contour, some parts of the suit, and a distorted view of what's behind him.
Personality[]
Nameless is a very brusque, ruthless, no-nonsense person. He is completely dedicated to his job, being willing to sacrifice the lives of Imperial soldiers as long as the mission can be completed. As an assassin, he tends to work alone, as evidenced during the mission for the Vortex, when he ordered everybody to stay out of his way.
Nameless also loathes Astral Mages to a great extent, refusing to even treat them as humans. He speaks of them with scorn, often using phrases like "filthy witches" to address them. Furthermore, he told Alice that he was disgusted just by breathing the same air as her.[1]
Abilities[]
- Master Assassin: As someone who rose up from the Empire's assassination unit before becoming a Saint Disciple, Nameless may very well be the best assassin in the entire nation. He was known to be an expert in silent killing techniques that made no use of guns.[2]
- Stealth: Nameless is able to conceal his presence and sounds. His stealth abilities are held in the highest regard even by fellow Saint Disciples, who consider him as the best person for important covert operations.
- Analytical Skills: He has also demonstrated great analytical skills, easily figuring out that there were traitors during the mission for the Vortex and how to beat an astral mage's automatic defenses. At the end of his battle with Alice, he threw a shard of ice back her, bypassing her automatic defenses since it originated from her own astral power.
- Flexibility: As shown in his battle with Alice, Nameless is flexible enough to dodge a rain of ice swords thrown at him, and in some cases, even catch them.
Equipment[]
- Optical camouflage suit: The suit gives him the ability to become completely invisible, allowing him sneak up to his target undetected and dispose of them easily. It was created by the Department of Suppression Weapons Development at the Imperial capital.[3]
- Prosthetic Arm: At some point in the past, Nameless lost his left arm in a battle to the death against a certain astral mage, requiring him to replace it with an artificial one. As a last resort, the arm could act as an Anti-astral power grenade when destroyed, disabling astral powers inside a thirty-yard radius for 2 seconds.[4] He sacrificed this artificial arm in a failed gamble against Growley, and barely managed to escape thanks to the anti-astral power grenade.
- Glass knife: An invisible blade, sharp to a terrifying degree, capable of slicing through steel guns as smoothly as paper.[5]

Trivia[]
- The fact that Nameless sees the Emperor's inhuman appearance in the anime creates a plot hole for his character. The assassin clearly shows his contempt for astral mages, whom he considers "monsters", and the Emperor is clearly not human.
- Nameless lost both his arms to Growley. The left one was destroyed, while his right one is still being cursed by Growley's astral power.
