Nene Alkastone (音々・アルカストーネ, Nene Arukasutōne) is a supporting character in KimiSen. She works as Unit 907's communications engineer and field mechanic.
Appearance[]
Nene is a lovely teenage girl with a slim figure and long hair, which is always seen in a ponytail. Her curves and long limbs give her the body of a model, and her red hair complements her blue eyes really well.
She wears the female uniform of the Imperial army, but instead of long pants, she wears shorts. The right side of her shorts is strapped with a leg pouch, which was changed to a simple belt in the anime. She also wears a white lab coat with golden linings on top of her uniform, but since she doesn't wear it properly, it only covers up to her elbows.
Personality[]
Nene is a cheerful and high spirited girl. In fact, she wears a cheerful, lively smile that leaves an impression on those around her.
She is also a top-class engineer with an insatiable appetite for knowledge and research. Because of this, she is often entrusted to test out new technology and products. In particular, she likes to test them on Mismis, prompting her captain to beg her to stop.[1]
Once something catches her attention, she will keep talking about it until someone stops her. This was shown when she was inspecting the reactor from the Nelka Base, as she kept analyzing the reactor and voicing her findings before Mismis had to cut her off.[2]
Abilities[]
- Genius Mechanic: Nene is a highly skilled mechanic. With Nene's skills, it would be possible examine the Object, a giant autonomous witch-hunting machine.[3]
- Technological Knowledge: Nene has an extensive knowledge of the technology used by the Heavenly Empire. She was able to identify an Imperial gun by the sound of its gunshot and the electrical sound it made.[4]
Equipment[]
- Star of Tetrabiblos: An experimental anti-astral power weapon and satellite. Its position is synchronized with Nene's, and can be controlled by the ring mechanism on her finger.
- Anti-astral power grenade: A grenade that emits a wavelength of radiation that disrupts the use of astral power for 2 seconds over a radius of nearly 100 feet.[2]
- Armor-piercing shells: Artillery shells that are dropped down from a high altitude, generating enough force from the acceleration during free fall to break through the Object's equipment and armor.[3]
- Stun gun: A weapon that shoots high-voltage currents. Nene used it against a guard in Alcatroz.
