Shanorotte Gregory (シャノロッテ・グレゴリー, Shanorotte Guregorī) was the former captain of Unit 104 before being revealed to be an undercover spy from the Nebulis Sovereignty.
Appearance[]
Shanorotte has long and flowy blonde hair that reaches her lower back. She has lime-green eyes and is of average height. In addition to having a fit physique, her chest is quite developed. When she was undercover in the army, she wore the Imperial uniform.
Personality[]
She seemed to be an easy-going person at first, but she was in truth very sadistic towards the soldiers of the Empire, and not even her former friend was spared.
However, her personality takes a complete turn when interacting with other astral mages. When Rin reprimanded her for bringing an enemy soldier into their HQ, Shanorotte earnestly apologized. And after she was helped by Kissing, she praised her like an avid admirer.
History[]
Born and raised in the Nebulis Sovereignty, Shanorotte infiltrated the Empire when she was 15 years old.[1] She met Mismis while at the captain cadet school and the two became friends.
Shanorotte eventually became the captain of Unit 104, which consisted of herself and three other astral mages, allowing them to leak military intelligence to their home country.

Volume 2[]
Shanorotte met with Mismis again when the latter's unit was assigned to secure a newly discovered Vortex, and was introduced to Mismis' subordinates. She later informs Unit 907 that three units went missing while searching for the vortex.
Shanorotte's unit was waiting nearby When Mismis discovered the vortex's location, revealing that they were spies of Nebulis waiting to capture any Imperial soldiers that approached the vortex. After taking Mismis hostage, the members of Unit 104 were suddenly attacked by the 8th Saint Disciple, Nameless. But before he could kill her, one of the surviving members set off an explosion, allowing Shanorotte to escape with Mismis as her hostage.
When Iska arrived at the enemy HQ to take back Mismis, Shanorotte fought him temporarily before stepping back as Kissing appeared to confront the intruder. After Iska defeated Kissing, Shanorotte immediately retreated.
Volume 8[]
When the Hydra's research facility Snow and Sun was reported to be under attack by the Transcendental Sorcerer Salinger, the Zoa sent Shanorotte to investigate independently from the authorities. As she began heading to the café where her subordinates were waiting in, a little girl suddenly fell down after running into Shanorotte. When she offers her hand to help her up, the girl recognizes Shanorotte and is soon revealed to be Mismis. Even though Shanorotte tried alerting everyone about the Imperial subject, they were too distracted by the burning facility that Mismis was able to escape.[2]
Volume 14[]
Shanorotte teams up with Mizerhyby Hydra Nebulis IX in attempt to destroy the Heavenly Empire but were confronted by Alice, Mismis and Kissing.
Abilities[]
- Lightning: Shanorotte is an astral mage that can generate lightning, allowing her to shoot electrical discharges.
Relationships[]
The two were close, having graduated from the military academy at the same time, and they went out for yakiniku together whenever payday came.[3] However, this was just a ruse, as Shanorotte has always been a spy and electrocutes her former friend without any hesitation. In Volume 14, Mismis (along with both Alice and Kissing) are confronting both Shanorotte and Mizerhyby attempting to persuade them.
